GE Aviation’s Multi-Billion Order at the 2017 Paris Air Show
Founded in 1993, Parametric Solutions Inc. specializes in gas turbine engine solutions for the aircraft and industrial power industries. Among the firm’s many clients is GE Aircraft Engines. In 2015, Parametric Solutions Inc. assembled a prototype gas turbine engine for GE aircraft engines which GE videotaped and posted on YouTube.
The company that gave the United States its first jet engine, GE, through its subsidiary GE Aviation, is a global leader in providing general aviation, commercial, business, and military jet and turboprop engines and parts. It also offers electrical power systems, mechanical systems, and avionics for aircraft and supports these offerings with a global service network.
At the Paris Air Show held last June, GE Aviation announced that along with its joint venture partners, spearheaded by CFM International, it had received over $31 billion in orders and commitments during the event. Included in the agreements were over 1,700 GE and CFM engines and a full range of engine maintenance offerings. Orders and commitments came from China Eastern Airlines, Spring Airlines, EVA Airways, Delta Airlines, VEB Leasing, and a host of other companies.

AIAA SciTech Forum to Take Place in January of 2018
An engineering service company in Florida, Parametric Solutions Inc. offers gas turbine engineering solutions that range from product design, analysis and definition to hardware procurement, instrumentation and assembly of gas turbine engines and modules. Parametric Solutions Inc. maintains membership with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), which will hold its Science and Technology Forum and Exposition (SciTech Forum) in January of 2018.
The SciTech Forum represents the organization’s foray into a new model of technical conference that focuses on one of five major themes--in this case, science and technology. Designed to help AIAA maintain its role as a technical leader in aerospace, the conference targets a larger segment of the aerospace community and unites participants from around the world in the exploration of science and technology ideas in aerospace.
Participants will tackle pressing issues impacting the future of the industry and attend an assortment of plenary, networking, and continuing education sessions. Additionally, the SciTech Forum features a technical program composed of 11 individual technical events that include meetings, symposiums, and mini-conferences. The technical program also gives participants the opportunity to interact with colleagues and professionals from across aerospace disciplines.
